Presently, I am accepting assignments as Earle V. "Buddy" Almy, Jr. d/b/a Almy & Company - Realtors, with my office at 7430 Fall Creek Hwy., P.O. Box 129, near Granbury, Texas.
On May 26, 1952, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry from Texas Tech University. After serving for four years in the United States Air Force (Veterinary Service), I was employed by the First National Bank of Fort Worth (now Nations Bank - Texas - Ft. Worth office) on September 1, 1956. I spent about three years in their installment loan department, two years in their loan and discount department and one year in their credit analysis department. During this period, I received a Graduate Certificate in Commercial Banking from the American Institute of Banking (equivalent of a Master's Degree for me) in Ft. Worth, Texas.
After leaving the bank in May of 1962, I spent approximately five and one-half years in the livestock and poultry business with Burrus Feed Mill (now Central Soya) covering territories in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. I held the position of Director of Finance and Poultry Feed Sales.

On July 24, 1986, I was awarded the designation "CREA" (Certified Real Estate Appraiser) by the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers because of my previous education from the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and experience of appraising properties since 1959. With SREA , I completed the 101 course - An Introduction to Appraising Real Property in Norman, Oklahoma, on May 26,1972, the 201 course-Principles of Income Property Appraising on May 15, 1974 and the Narrative Report Writing Seminar in Ft. Worth on January 7, 1972. I had been working on a "SPRA" designation (Senior Real Property Appraiser) but I never had the time or money to do the "Demonstration Appraisal" on an income producing property as one would have to take off the three months and do nothing else. Since the Fall Semester of 1986, I have been teaching Real Estate #351 - Rural Real Estate Appraisal on a part time basis for Weatherford College in Weatherford, Texas and the text that I used was the "Rural Appraisal" book written by the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers (MAI), a branch of the National Association of Realtors.
